We recommend up to 4 indoor cats per single Litter-Robot; however, we do have customers with more cats using a single unit. As a rule of thumb, one cat using Litter-Robot requires that the drawer be emptied once per week; two cats, twice per week; three cats, every other day, and so on.

It's natural for some cats to be initially uncertain or wary of new objects in their territory, but most cats use Litter-Robot within several days to a week of setting it up. Litter-Robot is designed to be as cat-friendly as possible, featuring QuietSift® technology that minimizes noise during the cleaning cycle. The cleaning cycle will only begin minutes after your cat has exited the automatic litter box. With a little patience and encouragement, most cats will quickly adapt to Litter-Robot. Are Whisker products safe for pets?
Yes, Whisker products are designed with your pet’s safety in mind. If your cat tries to enter the Litter-Robot globe while it is rotating, the globe will stop immediately. Our latest Litter-Robot models feature enhanced safety technology known as the SafeCat System with OmniSense® Detection that uses lasers to continuously analyze multiple safety zones, weight sensors, and anti-pinch software for enhanced cat detection.
