What kind of food is compatible with Whisker's automatic feeders?
Feeder-Robot is compatible with any dry or semi-moist cat or dog food that is 5/8" or less in kibble size. Feeder-Robot is not compatible with wet food.
What happens if the feeder goes offline?
If you use the Whisker app to set your pet's feeding schedule, you can rest assured that your pet will still be fed should the unit go offline. Feeder-Robot saves the feeding schedule locally on the unit. Whether the unit is connected to the network or offline, once it has a schedule programmed to it via the control panel keypad or downloaded to it from the app, Feeder-Robot will continue to feed on that specific schedule until it is updated.
If the power goes out, the backup battery (sold separately) provides 24 hours of use in power-saving mode.
Can I control my feeder from my phone?
Yes, you can use the Whisker app to customize feeding schedules, pause or skip a meal, and give your pet a snack.
How do I clean an automatic feeder?
We recommend cleaning your automatic pet feeder at least once a week to prevent food buildup, bacteria, and mold. We recommend that you clean Feeder-Robot before its first use, and at least once a month after that. The best time to clean is when the hopper and feeding bowl are already empty.
